IƵm slowly getting back into the political game, but my interest in national politics has taken a nosedive.
I havenƵt been watching the mainstream media since the presidential election. I used to tune in to the political talk shows every Sunday.
I occasionally read the comments from the two local right-wing shows, and IƵve made a few comments, but they went unnoticed. My comments were made after the programs ended.
I tried a new source because apparently, the mainstream media is still the enemy. ItƵs funny that every time I use Fox as a source, I donƵt get a response.
One poster claimed that 300,000 children went missing under the Biden-Harris administration. I tried explaining that it was an exaggeration and sourced it with Meta AI. She responded with a smiley emoji and a LOL. Then, she implied that Google and Meta set their algorithms to match the liberal agenda.
IƵm still not getting the answers I want about the Jan. 6 attack on our Capitol. I read Steven SundƵs book, ƵCourage under Fire,Ƶ by the police chief of the Capitol on Jan, 6. I learned that the National Guard never arrived at the Capitol while it was being attacked until the very end.
The military was just down the block, waiting for orders. It seems that the Department of Defense and the Secretary of the Army didnƵt want the military to be seen at the Capitol. I also learned that the military and the FBI knew about the possible threat but didnƵt pass the information down to the Capitol Police.
IƵm afraid IƵm going to my grave without knowing who did what and why. And that applies to several court cases being dismissed.
IƵm reading about proposals to issue preemptive pardons for people working for the PresidentƵpast and future. What a way to run a government!
The year 2025 is shaping up to be a wild ride in politics. The Senate has a six-vote GOP advantage, but the House can only lose two Republicans to pass their bills. TheyƵre not budging and think they have the support of the people, even though Trump didnƵt get 50% of the vote. He only got 49.9%.
IƵm not going to stress about what Donald Trump says in 2025. Hakeem Jeffries just needs to stay focused until 2026 when theyƵll have new representatives.
