MISSOULA, Mont. òòò½ÊÓƵ“ The race for city government positions in Missoula has officially begun as candidates start filing to get on the ballot for this year's election.
The filing period has opened for city offices, including the positions of Missoula mayor and several city council seats.

City Councilmen Mike Nugent and Daniel Carlino have also declared their intentions to run again. Nugent, who represents Ward 4, is focused on housing, city budgets, and public safety. Carlino, representing Ward 3, wants to continue advocating for environmental action and affordable living.
