CRAIG COUNTY, Okla. òòò½ÊÓÆµ” Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) said a man was killed in a Craig òòò½ÊÓÆµ crash last month.

According to OHP's report, the deadly crash happened on I-44, Will Rogers Turnpike westbound about two and a half miles west of Vinita in Craig òòò½ÊÓÆµ around 11:31 p.m. on March 16.

OHP said a 2018òòò½ÊÓÆµVolvo tractor traveling westbound on I-44 came to a stop on the roadway and a 2020 Freightliner tractoròòò½ÊÓÆµthat was also traveling westbound struck the Volvo tractor the rear.

The Freightliner tractor caught fire and burned, OHP said.

The driver of theòòò½ÊÓÆµVolvo tractor was taken to the hospital where they were treated and released. The passenger reported minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene, according to OHP's report.

OHP said the driver of theòòò½ÊÓÆµFreightliner tractor, 40-year-old Arthur M. Fair, of Foristelle, MO, was pronounced dead at the scene.

OHP said the cause of the crash was an improper stop on the roadway.
