New count of DUI
A Bolivar woman already facing Common Pleas Court action on a previous charge of drunk driving in White Township has been cited for another charge of driving under the influence in Indiana Borough.
Indiana Borough Police Department said Mackenzie E. Thompson, 21, was stopped by officers along the 300 block of South Seventh Street on Feb. 22 at 2:48 a.m.
At that time, IBPD said, Thompson was found to be under the influence of alcohol to a degree that she was unable to drive. She was taken into custody, evidence was collected, and she was released to a sober adult, police said.
Thompson faces two DUI charges plus two summary driving offenses, at a preliminary hearing May 8 at 2 p.m. before Indiana Magisterial District Judge Anthony Sottile III.
As of Feb. 28, Thompson was awaiting a decision about Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition in Indiana òòò½ÊÓƵ Common Pleas Court, where her case in a Sept. 28, 2024, incident was sent after she waived a preliminary hearing Feb. 25 before Homer City Magisterial District Judge Susanne V. Steffee.
Thompsonòòò½ÊÓƵ™s next court date in that case is a formal arraignment on April 29 before Common Pleas Judge Gina R. Force.
