For over 20 years, Aaron Cisneros has been creating art. While heòòò½ÊÓƵ™s a self-taught artist, heòòò½ÊÓƵ™s inspired by his family, friends and the art teachers who have helped him hone his craft. His tools include everything from colored pencils and crayons to ketchup packets.

What started as doodles on the margins of his school work has evolved into a repertoire of art work that goes beyond the canvas and onto dinner plates and sheet cakes. Cisnerosòòò½ÊÓƵ™ art has kept evolving as heòòò½ÊÓƵ™s gotten older. While he still uses traditional artistsòòò½ÊÓƵ™ tools such as colored and graphite pencils, paints and crayons, heòòò½ÊÓƵ™s also embracing non-traditional mediums in his pieces.

òòò½ÊÓƵœI want to keep evolving and tackle new challenges,òòò½ÊÓƵ Cisneros said. òòò½ÊÓƵœBeing an artist is all about finding new ways to express yourself.òòò½ÊÓƵ

By creating art daily, Cisneros constantly finds himself inspired by the world around him, drawing inspiration from movies and TV shows. Most of his artwork highlights pop culture references and phenomena. Cisneros describes his art as mixed-media.

òòò½ÊÓƵœUse your voice and show and share your message through your creativity,òòò½ÊÓƵ Cisneros said.

His advice to emerging artists is to just go for it and youòòò½ÊÓƵ™ll never know unless you put yourself out there. What started as Cisnerosòòò½ÊÓƵ™ hobby of drawing cars and ships on sheets of paper has translated into food art and 3D Lego pieces as his definition of art continues to evolve.
