UPDATE: 52 year-old Sammy Rodriguez Jr. was stopped in a vehicle in the 600 block of Troy Street at 8:40 p.m. last night where he was taken into police custody and was charged with murder. The victim, 68 year-old Terence Garza, died last night as a result of injuries.

At around 5:15 p.m. the Victoria Police Department responded to a stabbing at the Victorian Village Apartments in the 1900 block of Lawndale Avenue.òòò½ÊÓƵ

Through a preliminary investigation, officers determined Garza and Rodriguez were engaged in a physical altercation when Garza was stabbed.

Garza was transported to an area hospital before he died as a result of his injuries.
